When I was in middle school and throughout high school I hated the feeling of lipstick. I didn't really use anything but lip balm. It wasn't till after I moved into my apartment with my best friend, Shelly, when I really uncovered my love for lipstick.
I thought it would be a good idea to show you my top 5 favourite lipsticks. I couldn't bring myself to say one of them is my absolute favourite so these wont be in any sort of "least to greatest" order.
1. Ruby Woo by M.A.C.
1. Ruby Woo by M.A.C.
This is the first lipstick I ever bought. I know, who buys a red lipstick as their very first? Me! When I went to the M.A.C.. counter I knew exactly what I wanted. I tried it on, and fell in love. Ruby Woo is a vivid blue-red and it's so pretty and classic. Red lipstick is one of my favourite things ever. I don't think I could live without it. Ruby Woo's formula is retro matte. When you put this on, it stays put for hours! This can be pretty drying if you don't moisturise your lips before applying.
2. Viva Glam 3 by M.A.C.
2. Viva Glam 3 by M.A.C.
This colour is hard for me to explain, but I'll try my best.
This colour is a mixer between purple, brown, and red. That probably sounds weird, but it's a beautiful colour. This is also a Matte finish, but it's not nearly as drying as Ruby Woo, and it's a lot more creamy. It's amazing for fall, but I wear it all year round. Viva Glam 3 looks great against my pale skin so I usually don't use a blush when I'm wearing it.
3. Kinda Sexy by M.A.C.

3. Kinda Sexy by M.A.C.
You can probably tell how much I love M.A.C. lipsticks! They are so nice and they are high end without being over the top expensive. Kinda Sexy is a peachy, pink lipstick which also happens to have a matte finish. Obviously I love having matte lips! This colour looks like it was made for me. It's basically a "my lips but better" colour for me. I think this look gorgeous on lighter skin tones. Sometimes I can feel like it washes me out, but that might just be because I go for a bold lip so much of the time. I actually discovered Kinda Sexy through a YouTuber. She was reviewing her favourite lipsticks and when she put this one on to show I knew I had to have it!
4. Sugar Plum by No 7
4. Sugar Plum by No 7
I'll give you a little break from mac and switch over to this lovely colour. Sugar Plum is just what it sounds like. It's a beautiful plum colour that goes on smoothly, and doesn't feel heavy at all. When I tried this for the first time I actually didnt like it at all and I thought "Ugh i just wasted $10 on a lipstick I hate!" Then I tried it on a few days later and I actually really love it. I could probably wear this a lot more often than I do, but when I do reach for it Its great!
5. Russian Red by M.A.C.
5. Russian Red by M.A.C.
We started with a red lipstick and we end with a red lipstick. Although you might not see the difference between Russian Red and Ruby Woo I assure you there is one. Russian Red is, of course, a matte finish. This also is a lot creamier and not as drying as Ruby Woo. I actually wore this for my wedding and I bought M.A.C.'s lipliner in Brick to go with it. It has amazing wear time, and its a beautiful intense blueish-red. Perfect for my pale skin. This is one of Dita Von Teese's favourite lipsticks as well. (if you don't know who she is, she's a burlesque dancer. Google her!) I admire Dita Von Teese so I think she influenced this purchase of mine.
